where to begin? ate a sandwich at sonny's w/ dad. alone enough to warrant a post. have i told you about smokedpork/coleslaw/garlicbread/bbqsauce at sonny's? now i have! go get you some!thought i lost my phone. turns out that wasn't true, i just left it over shalley drive way by mom's pc. i turned it off so dad & i could watch the preview for the new wallace & gromit movie in peace.
then it was time for work. a good day at work. short and painless. plus i knew the whole time that when i got home the entire new bob pollard album would be ready for me. that's right. i now have a complete copy of "from a compound eye." i have only soulseek and it's various gbv savvy users to thank. there are those who would keep this treasure from me, and they now sulk defeated. there was seriously a thread on the gbv board about not letting this record get onto any p2p networks. give me a break quick-snap! i've been downloading everything bob pollard so much as looks at funny for the past four years. doesn't stop me from rushing over to vinyl feves or luna music or wtf i have to do to buy a legit copy of the monthly masterwork. shit, i did the figures a few days ago, and i forget what they are, but i've spent over $500 on guided by voices et al. and that's not counting beers at concerts. this is my guy, guys, robert pollard is love. may he stomp beer cans on the souls of the un-converted and light cigarettes made of platinum with well deserved twenties 'til steve jobs enslaves us all with ipod earbud nooses. anyway, let me know if you want to hear the new album, and you do.
